About the Service
Foreign nationals can work as camp counselors during the summer season (June to September) without an LMIA. Employers must still provide an employer-specific work permit, but this exemption reduces the administrative burden for seasonal camps.
Why choose this service?
Canadian employers who hire foreign workers must prove that they operate a legitimate business in good standing, that they are able to pay the offered wage, that they will provide the promised working conditions, and that they will keep accurate records for inspection.
These obligations apply to all hiring programs, whether they are based on an LMIA or are exempt. However, they do not apply when the employer hires a person who already holds an open work permit, such as a post-graduation work permit, a spousal open work permit, an International Experience Canada Working Holiday permit, or a bridging open work permit.
