About the Service
The PEQ has two streams. The Temporary Foreign Worker stream requires applicants to have held eligible full-time employment in Quebec for the required period during the 36 months preceding the application, in a profession corresponding to the appropriate skill level. The Quebec Graduate stream requires applicants to have completed an eligible program of study in Quebec, recognized by the MIFI (Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration), within the 36 months preceding the application, and to demonstrate sufficient work experience commensurate with the degree obtained.
The PEQ is currently subject to admission suspensions: the graduate stream has been suspended since October 31, 2024 and the worker stream since June 5, 2025, both in effect until November 30, 2025.
